Blackhill Farm Cottage welcomes up to 6 guests plus 2 well behaved dogs throughout the year.
The cottage is located next to our private access road and has parking for up to 4 cars. It is detached and there is only one other house within half a mile to give a wonderful feeling of privacy and seclusion.
The ground floor provides the kitchen and sitting room, twin bedroom and family bathroom along with a spacious hallway. Upstairs leads to the two kingsize double bedrooms and a separate wc.
The cottage has been recently refurbished and is tastefully decorated throughout with a range of artworks highlighting the local area adorning the walls.
Kitchen
The kitchen is at the heart of the house and is equipped with everything you should need for your holiday. As well as cutlery, crockery, pots and pans there is a 4 ring hob, grill, fan oven, microwave, blender, coffee machine, large fridge and freezer. There is also a large table that seats 6 people and a high chair for infants, dishwasher and combined clothes washing machine/drier.
The kitchen has a small stock of essentials such as salt, pepper, tea bags, coffee, bin bags, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets.
Food deliveries can be arranged with either Tesco, Asda or Waitrose. Alternatively we can arrange for some meals from the excellent Cook or local award winning chef Praveen Kumar to be in the cottage to meet you on arrival.
Sitting Room
The sitting room with large sofas and a very warm log burning stove, (logs supplied in the winter months), provides a very comfortable and cosy area to relax at the end of the day.
There is a large TV with Freesat digital channels, DVD player with a selection of DVD’s for all ages plus some books and games. The cottage has broadband internet which is ideal for general surfing, email, some streaming and social media.
Bedrooms
The cottage has 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people in 2 kingsize double beds and two single beds in a twin bedroom.
We provide all the linen and towels and there is also a travel cot for infants if needed, (guest to bring their own bedding for the travel cot).
The two king size double bedrooms are upstairs and the twin single bedroom is downstairs giving a good combination of bedrooms for groups of families and friends.
